Falling in love with summer

The Skiservice Magazine, a favourite with guests and locals alike, has issued its first summer edition. Articles on mountain biking, hiking and running, replete with stunning images, showcase summer in the Engadine at its best.

The first summer edition of the Skiservice magazine is out.

Argentine pro mountain biker Pablo Seewald takes centre stage in the portrait «Patagonia – Engadin». He discovered mountain biking in Bariloche, Patagonia, and became one of the top riders in Downhill. Today, he lives in Silvaplana with his young family,  working as a bike mechanic at Skiservice and taking part in Europacup competitions. In the Skiservice summer magazine, Pablo tells of his love for sports and his favourite trails in the Engadin.

The magazine's photo spreads, striking as ever, portray Skiservice's leisure apparel, sports articles and accessories at actual locations in the region, accompanied by features with vacation and recreation tips in the world's most beautiful alpine valley in the world. Christian Gartmann has penned all the texts, while local photographer Gian Andri Giovanoli contributed all the pictures.

«The beauty of an Engadin summer is still largely unknown," observes Skiservice's managing director Conradin Conradin, who can look back on eleven successful editions of the magazine. "We are sending out many copies of the magazine to the cities and the midland, hoping that our numerous winter guests will get to know – and enjoy – our valley as a summer destination.»

Close to half of the copies of the Skiservice Summer Magazine 2018, issued in a print-run of 10,000 copies, are sent to clients outside the Engadin. The magazine is also available for free at many hotels in the Engadin as well as the Skiservice shops in Surlej, Silvaplana, St. Moritz Signal, and Pontresina.
