INTERNET: Earthkeepers campaign with innovative communication elements on the Internet and at points of sale.

In its communication, the American shoe and clothing manufacturer Timberland not only underlines its sustainability and environmental compatibility. Timberland is now also using 3D technology at its own sales outlets and on the Internet.
A three-dimensional microsite shows the new “Earthkeepers” collection. The flash site can be used with or without 3D glasses.
For Jim Davey, who joined Timberland in 2009 from entertainment company Nickelodeon as Vice President of Global Marketing, the 3D initiative is more than just the playful use of modern technology: 3D gives customers the feeling of being right there and in nature.
However, 3D itself is also a means of reaching out to younger customers. According to Davey, Timberland is also increasingly trying to appeal to customers between the ages of 20 and 30. 3D is an attractive option.
Note when using the 3D website: The 3D effect can be activated at the top left of the small 3D glasses.
