The “hut hosts” Anja and Hans Jörg Zingg are leaving the El Paradiso Hospitality Group and handing over their duties at the el paradiso Mountain Club, the Hotel Restaurant Lej da Staz and the La Rösa Guesthouse. They had rebuilt El Paradiso in 1998 and then managed it as a host couple for 23 years. A new plant management will be appointed shortly.

Anja and Hans Jörg Zingg, known as landlords of the el paradiso Mountain Club and managing directors of the Lej da Staz and La Rösa companies, are leaving their long-standing workplace at the end of September. The decision was based on differences of opinion between Hüttenwirten Zingg and the majority shareholders about the further strategic direction of the company for a long time. “In the end, we had to recognize together that it was best for both parties and the companies if we split up. We wish the companies, their teams and their guests all the best,” says Hans Jörg Zingg.
On behalf of the majority shareholders, Dr. Erek Nuener, Chairman of the Board of Directors of El Paradiso Hospitality Group AG, thanks the Zingg family for their decades of tireless commitment and for agreeing to a realignment in the interest of the company. The name el paradiso will remain associated with the landlords Zingg beyond their active time.
23 years of hut keepers
In 1998, the Zingg couple took over the former simple Paradiso mountain hut and developed it with love and commitment into one of the most renowned mountain restaurants in the Swiss Alps, which achieved an international reputation as el paradiso Mountain Club. As “hut keepers”, they constantly developed and refined the concept. This includes the high quality standards reflected in the motto “product is king”, as well as the creation of the exclusive Mountain Circle “St. Tropitz”, a club for regular guests.
Anja and Hans Jörg Zingg practice their gastronomic craft at a high level of excellence that has won several awards in an exclusive environment with special amenities. Each year, the couple took on the demanding challenge in the Swiss High Alps and managed to offer guests from all over the world a special gastronomic experience.
The el paradiso Mountain Club is currently only open for events and will resume winter operations in December 2021.
The Hotel Restaurant Lej da Staz is open normally and the La Rösa Guesthouse can be rented for events. A further media release about the future management of the companies will follow shortly.
