PR/ADVERTISING: German advertising icon Holger Jung says advertising is honest.”

“Advertising is honest, it's open to everyone, and you can avoid it. That is absolutely honest,” summarizes German star advertiser Holger Jung in an interview with the news magazine “Der Spiegel.” Excessively used PR runs the risk of making the media, which PR does transport, implausible. “You shouldn't kill your own horse.”
Jung also has his pointed opinion on the so-called “advertising-relevant target group” of 15 to 49-year-olds: “Advertising must appeal to the aspiring young rocker, the real and the wannabe rocker, i.e. everyone who sees themselves as part of the community. It doesn't matter how old they are.”
