World-class athletes from Norway, France and Switzerland start the traditional night sprint in St. Moritz on Friday evening. More strong sprinters than ever have signed up for the 37th edition of the race in an attractive knockout format. It starts at 18:00 in the Marathon Village in the Kurpark.

Eirik Brandsdal won the World Cup sprint in Drammen on Wednesday and will start on Friday, as will his Norwegian compatriot and two-time Lahti World Cup medalist, Anders Gløersen. Frenchman Jay Renaud, who advanced to the quarter-finals in Lahti in the World Cup sprint as well as Swiss Roman Furger, will also have a say in the victory.
A top-class race is also to be expected for the women. The favorites include German Hanna Kolb and Norwegian Mari Eide, who were in the top eight twice this winter in Falun and Davos.
In addition to the elite, juniors will also hold their sprint race, cheered on by many hundreds of spectators in the Marathon Village in the Kurpark. Marathon Village offers food, drinks and music.
The race starts at 18:00 and excitement is guaranteed: The participants will first run against the clock - then the fastest will sprint for victory in the knockout system.
