A “stone country house” for Klinik Gut in Fläsch

The new Gut Clinic in Fläsch is taking shape: On the southern edge of the village, a square, three-storey building with a hipped roof is planned for the orthopedic clinic. The new Klinik Gut in Fläsch is taking on concrete forms: On the southern edge of the village, a square, three-storey building with a hipped roof is planned for the orthopedic clinic. The building application for the new building was published on Friday. Next Thursday, the municipality and the initiators will inform the people of Fläscher at an information evening.

The townscape of the Wakker village of Fläsch is being expanded to include a distinctive building with the new Gut Clinic on Steigstraße. The local architects of Bearth & Deplazes have designed a building that blends in very well with the area in terms of shape and materials. “The building is reminiscent of a stone country house, which is surrounded by a magnificent garden,” summarizes architect Valentin Bearth.

“Building in Fläsch is both a challenge and a pleasure: The townscape has been well maintained for decades and the municipality is actively involved in construction projects. In dialogue with the community, we were able to develop the building in such a way that, despite its size, it fits well into the settlement structure and yet sets a clear accent on the southern edge of the village.”

With the new Klinik Gut, the most modern orthopedic clinic in Graubünden is being built in Fläsch with two operating rooms, a day clinic, rooms for 26 patients, therapy rooms, offices, a clinic restaurant and an underground car park. “An atmospheric and spacious inner courtyard and the patient rooms with wonderful views of the Bündner Herrschaft create a positive environment,” says Dr. Adrian Urfer, chief physician and CEO of Klinik Gut.

“Large windows and cutting-edge home, energy and special technology create the best living and working conditions for patients, relatives and employees of our new clinic.”

With the publication of the building application by the municipality, the objection period of 20 days began on Friday. With a smooth approval process, construction can begin in late summer. The new clinic is scheduled to open in mid-2016.
