For 50 years, the Engadin Ski Marathon has benefited from its participants and, above all, from its countless helpers. They have their say in the series “Marathon Whispers.” In a casual atmosphere, personalities who have shaped the Engadin tell personal, fascinating, unbelievable and unforgettable stories of “their” marathon.
The first “Marathon Whisper” will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 20:00 at the Hotel Schweizerhaus in Maloja. Ski legend and honorary member Dumeng Giovanoli, long-time start boss Nino Ganzoni and lake trails specialist Corsin Willy talk about their experiences and experiences about starting in Maloja and the lake trails. Christian Gartmann will moderate the discussion.
The second “marathon whisper” on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 focuses on the change in the organization of the Engadin Ski Marathon over the last 50 years. Geni Peter, Claudio Chiogna and Emil Tall will have some surprising things to say when asked by Luzi Heimgartner.
Albert Giger and Christine Gilli-Brügger, who have won the Engadin Ski Marathon several times, as well as Ueli Lamm, an original Giubilar who has contested all 49 Engadin ski marathons so far, reveal what makes the “Engadin” so far fascinating. During this conversation on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, Luzi Heimgartner will also elicit some “secrets” from the narrators.
For anyone who is unable to take part in the talks live, the “marathon whispers” will be broadcasted live from Enjoy St. Moritz on Facebook. Admission to the talks is free.
