The project for a health hotel and the new Gut Clinic in St. Moritz was revised and the planning contract with the municipality improved. The documents for the necessary “Serletta Süd” local planning revision are now being published publicly for a second time.

Since the first edition last December and January, important questions relating to the project have been answered and key points of the planning contract between the municipality and landowner Chris Silber St. Moritz AG have been clarified.
The project itself has been redimensioned once again: The planned health hotel is to be less tall. The new, specified planning contract bindingly requires that the additional use made possible by the zone plan change must necessarily be used for a hotel or the new clinic.
The additional construction height is now also dependent on the construction of a hotel or clinic. In addition, the municipality has the right to review and adapt the site planning revision if no planning application for a hotel and clinic is submitted within ten years.
The specified planning contract provides the municipality with planning and legal certainty that a hotel and the new Gut Clinic will actually be built on the site. The further reduced building height meets the wishes of neighboring landowners.
The project will be publicly launched again for 30 days from Thursday, June 11, as part of the participation process. The plan is to replace today's main post office with a health hotel with a good 130 rooms and suites. In addition, a new building is planned for Klinik Gut.
The hotel and clinic should share parts of the infrastructure and services and attract new groups of guests to St. Moritz as a center of health tourism.

The medical services offered by Klinik Gut focus on the treatment of sports accidents and orthopedic surgery. More than half of patients have general insurance. A new Klinik Gut has been built in Fläsch (GR) since the beginning of 2015 and is due to open at the end of 2016.
