With the movie “Predators!” The initiative “Hello dear Unterländer” is entering its second year. Since the first video film was published on Facebook, YouTube and traditional media, the private initiative for tourism in Grisons has already reached over 2.2 million advertising contacts. The films, which are not entirely serious, praise Grisons as a travel destination. They are distributed via social networks.

In the latest movie “Predators!” Warns “Hello dear Unterländer” of very mean predators who are after the blood of the Underlanders. The solution lies - how could it be otherwise - in Grisons.
“Hello dear Unterländer” is now one year old and the films in the series have already been played over 850,000 times. In each of the short clips, Christian Gartmann from St. Moritz tells a not entirely true story about his favorite canton and usually also shows the nature of Graubünden. In the end, he always calls on the guests from the lowlands to come to Grisons, because: “... it's much nicer biüs!”
Most of the more than 30 films are the result of spontaneous events. “When I'm outside in my free time, I get the best ideas,” says Gartmann. It's good that he almost always has his camerawoman and partner Isabel Wenger with him. They shoot with a standard smartphone, they do not edit - the films only consist of a single shot.
The initiative is reaching its target group: The retrieval statistics show that the films are consumed primarily in the Swiss Plateau and in Germany. In one year, the campaign generated more than 2.2 million advertising contacts for Grisons via its own channels and traditional media.
Traditional media have also become aware of the initiative: After local and regional media, the 20-minute website also reported on the campaign. This article alone was viewed 220,000 times, and the film described in it was viewed over 140,000 times.
Gartmann receives no money for the campaign from anyone, but a lot of positive feedback from the hotel and catering industry and from fans from Grisons and the lowlands. “Hello dear Unterländer, this is my small advertising contribution for tourism in Grisons,” says Gartmann. “Anyone else could do that too. We can all work to make tourism in our country better again.”
