The fourth supraregional conference “Health & Tourism” combines theory with practice and shows how tourism and healthcare in the Alpine region can open up new business areas. Top national and international speakers could once again be hired for the conference on September 19. Advance sales for the conference are now open.
For the fourth time, experts from the fields of tourism and health are meeting at the interregional conference “Health & Tourism” in Pontresina. The conference will be opened with the topic “Investing in the Alpine Region”, which will be addressed by well-known investors, politicians and tourism researchers.
The conference last year showed that health tourism can also include attractive models for reducing costs for domestic patients. This approach will be deepened at this year's conference. The topic of architecture for healthcare buildings is also being taken up again. “Architecture for Health” is the topic of a keynote speech.
Practical relevance and network maintenance
Practical relevance has been an important part of the successful conference since it was first held in 2015. This year, well-known Swiss hoteliers will present their existing healthcare offerings and, in particular, discuss issues relating to attracting, training and retaining good employees.
The conference program is once again heavily loaded: Ten short presentations are each supplemented with interview questions and introductory panels. In between, the conference offers enough breaks to maintain networks and exchange ideas directly with speakers and other conference participants.
