(K) a reason to celebrate: One year of the “Corona II Engadin” task force

The Engadin Corona Task Force has been working on solution-oriented teamwork between business, healthcare, destination organization, municipalities and the canton for a year. However, the birthday is not celebrated. The party is only celebrated when the task force can be disbanded.

The first talks on a task force for the Upper Engadine took place at the end of July 2020. Since then, 49 newsletters and 17 media releases have been sent out and more than 30 information meetings have taken place with the municipalities of South Bünden and experts from the Canton of Grisons. The task force published two scenario handbooks for companies, a protection concept for communities with mountain railways and a guide for folk festivals and markets.

She supported area and outbreak tests in South Bünden and the development of company tests and handled several dozen individual inquiries from companies and municipalities in the region. A total of around 2,000 working hours were spent in the Engadin St. Moritz destination organization, the task force, the companies in the region, the municipalities and the canton of Graubünden.

However, the first full year is not a reason to celebrate. It would be much nicer if this task force didn't even need it. The task force will remain active as long as it is useful for the region.

Only their dissolution will then be a reason to rejoice. However, the leadership of the task force is using the first birthday to thank all people and organizations who are taking part in this big #TEAMWORK in front of and behind the scenes and helping us all get through this #PANDEMIE as well as possible!

Christian Gartmann has founded the “Corona II Engadin” task force and heads it together with Jan Steiner from the destination organization Engadin St. Moritz.
