Five more weeks until VIVAL!

VIVAL, the first festival for health and pleasure, starts on September 2nd. Numerous businesses in the Upper Engadin are taking part and offering their guests special offers. On the website www.vival.ch They can all be booked now.

With a new festival for health and pleasure, the Engadin is celebrating the healthy joy of life in September. During an entire month, VIVAL presents numerous presentations and workshops as well as special offers from the hotel, catering, healthcare and sports industries. They are intended to encourage guests and locals to adopt a healthy lifestyle that does not neglect enjoyment.

hotels of all classes, from bed & breakfast to five-star hotel, participate in VIVAL. Your guests can book a package that includes the VIVAL Pass, use of the mountain railways and added value such as upgrades or late check-outs.

Health and enjoyment are also available in numerous restaurants in the valley and on the mountain: VIVAL partner restaurants offer special dishes that contribute to a healthy diet. Nutrition events are also taking place as part of the festival. Book author Esther Kern leads through a vegetarian dinner at the “Giodi” of Hotel Saratz in Pontresina, at Laudinella St. Moritz there are four cooking evenings in which guests can learn tricks from the chefs, the Hotel Hauser hosts a market on its terrace with lots of local products and on an excursion into our forests, newcomers are introduced to the secrets of finding mushrooms.

Bike tour at dawn and presentations on current topics

A healthy, active lifestyle includes physical activity. VIVAL partners offer a wide range of experiences in the great outdoors, introducing guests and locals to new sports. At daybreak, for example, there is an e-bike tour with brunch in an alpine hut or a sunrise hike to a glacier with lunch at an SAC hut. During the day, introductions to trail running, climbing courses or mountain bike tours are popular.

VIVAL guests then relax with a honey massage, barefoot walk or bathe in the forest. VIVAL apéros take place early in the evening: Presentations and panel discussions cover current topics relating to resilience, nutrition, sport and the cardiovascular system. Among others, the participants include:

Visitors to the festival can buy a VIVAL pass, which gives them free or discounted access to many events and added value.

As a special service, VIVAL offers initial medical advice. Dr. med. Adi Urfer explains: “In conversation with our experienced doctors, our guests can explore how they can make their own lifestyle healthier themselves or where they should perhaps seek support from doctors or therapists.” The Vival Pass Like all individual offers, can be booked online.
