The Serletta Süd project for a health hotel and hospital building in St. Moritz is being continued. Project owner Chris Silber St. Moritz AG is sticking to the building application and proposes to build a new medical center in the hospital building for St. Moritz and the region.

Chris Silber St. Moritz AG, owner of the Serletta Süd project, regrets that the new head office of Klinik Gut is not being built in St. Moritz. However, she understands the decision of her long-standing partner, which is in the interest of the patients and is a direct result of many years of project delays caused by opposition.
However, the recently filed appeals against the ongoing planning application for the clinic and the court proceedings against the use planning of the area do not change the fact that the project is to be implemented. Klinik Gut and Spital Oberengadin had announced that they want to treat all patients with complaints, injuries and consequences of musculoskeletal accidents together from 2022. To this end, they are jointly opening a center at Samedan Hospital with an operating room and ward as well as a permanence with an emergency in St. Moritz.
The planned hospital building is ideally suited for the planned permanence of Klinik Gut and the Oberengadin Hospital with an emergency for cases that do not require hospitalization. Together with local doctors and therapists as well as specialists from outside, the Serletta Clinic can create a modern medical center for St. Moritz and its guests. Such a center would also be an ideal addition to the health hotel planned on the site.
An even wider range of medical care in the Engadin
The Serletta Süd project will therefore be continued. Dr. Martin Meyer, project manager at Chris Silber St. Moritz AG: “We have promised the people of St. Moritz a health hotel and a clinic to get started in health tourism and we will do everything we can to keep this promise. The content of the objections to the project has long since been shipwrecked; the federal court is only concerned with delay and formalities.”
Meyer regrets the move from Klinik Gut's head office to Samedan, but also gains positive sides from the decision: “Klinik Gut is not completely leaving St. Moritz. With the idea for permanence, together with the Oberengadin Hospital, she is laying the foundation for even wider medical care in Südbünden. Our planned hospital building offers space and state-of-the-art infrastructure for permanence and other medical and therapeutic practices. Here, doctors from Klinik Gut and Spital, local family and specialist doctors and other specialists can offer their consultations and treatments under one roof.
This would be an ideal addition to the existing health services in the valley and to the planned health hotel.”
Martin Meyer is not concerned about the numerous objections to the ongoing building application for hospital construction. “The number of appeals says nothing about their chances. Most opponents only copied a simple template. However, we take your concerns seriously and will answer all questions meticulously. However, the content of the complaints will probably fail just as much as the proceedings against the use of the area desired by the people.”
