The registration figures for the Engadin Ski Marathon, the Engadin Women's Run and the Engadin Night Run are pointing steeply upwards. The three races of the marathon week await more than 15,000 cross-country skiers and will add another crown to the Engadin dream winter.

One and a half weeks before the start of the Engadin Marathon week, the registration statistics are looking up: More than 1,000 female runners have already signed up for the Engadin Women's Run on March 2, and the bear market following the pandemic appears to have been overcome. The same can be said about the Engadin night run on Thursday, March 6: More than 650 reports have already been received for the 17 mystical kilometers under the Engadin night sky. Even at the peak of the Engadin cross-country skiing winter, there are still a great many registrations: 11,680 runners have already signed up for the 42 kilometers of the Engadin Ski Marathon on March 9.

However, the Engadin Marathon Week also includes two more runs: Cross-country skiing talents from Engadin and throughout Grisons will meet in Samedan on Wednesday, February 26, for the 39th Engadin Youth Sprint. And if you want to experience the Engadin without the hustle and bustle of too many people, you can run the original marathon route from March 3 to 5 as an “Engadin Ski Marathon Individual”. Equipped with a chip to measure time, all graduates not only receive a classification, but also provide for their effects transport and food at the finish line.

Excellent trail conditions

All in all, the organizers are once again expecting more than 15,000 participants for the Engadin Marathon Week races. They make the marathon week the biggest cross-country skiing festival in the Alps. Since trail preparation on the Upper Engadin lakes was initially very difficult, excellent trails have been prepared in the meantime. The weather is stable and the entire 42 kilometers of the original route are available for the last training sessions.

Dabu Fantastic in the Marathon Village

The Engadin Marathon Week is not only an experience for its participants. In the marathon village in the heart of Pontresina, from March 6 to 8, numerous partners of the Engadin Ski Marathon will be offering entertainment, information, cross-country skiing news and a large athlete presentation on Saturday.

As always, the Pontresina restaurants and hotels will take care of your physical well-being, and on Friday evening from 6:15pm, Pontresina invites you to the performance of the successful duo “Dabu Fantastic” on Plazza Gitögla above the train station.
