In order to minimize the risk of infection, some schools in the region are starting the new year remotely. All students are tested and face-to-face teaching only starts next week. The “Corona II Engadin” task force has prepared an overview with the municipalities and schools.

The sharp rise in the number of cases of the Omicron virus variant has increased the likelihood that there will be new clusters of infections in schools. Classes with positive students would have to go into temporary quarantine, teachers who tested positive would have to go into isolation. Face-to-face teaching would be cancelled as a result.
As a result, parents would have to take on full-day care for their children and could be absent from work.
