Architecture in St. Moritz: Mortgage or Opportunity?

St. Moritz's architecture is often discussed but rarely praised. What can and must the location do to further develop architecturally? How can architecture and spatial planning influence the future of St. Moritz as a holiday destination? Guests at the 7th St. Moritz Village Talk at Hotel Schweizerhof include world-renowned architect Matteo Thun and Bündner building manager Mario Cavigelli.

Grand hotels on a hillside, an urban town center, residential silos in the bathrooms and villa areas on the periphery: For many, the quality of the St. Moritz townscape stands in sharp contrast to the incomparably beautiful landscape.

What should “good” local planning and architecture in St. Moritz look like in the future? Who should decide which quality criteria should apply to the location and its appearance in the future? What can the municipality and what can the canton do to make change possible or even bring about?

Guests at the 7th St. Moritz Village Talk include South Tyrolean architect and designer Matteo Thun and Bündner Construction Director Mario Cavigelli. They discuss with local construction experts and representatives from politics, tourism and industry.
