The somewhat crazy ski race

The St. Moritz City Race is taking place for the third time from November 26 to 28. St. Moritz kicks off the winter season by moving the ski slopes right into the village. In addition to the parallel slalom, a freestyle contest will also be held for the first time. The spectacular competition through the pedestrian zone also includes fashion shows in the snow as well as live music and DJs in the bars and clubs in the village center. gartmann.biz organizes a series of media promotions and animation at the competitions for the St. Moritz City Race.

With the “St. Moritz City Race” The oldest winter sports resort in the world traditionally celebrates the new winter season on the last weekend in November. The focus is on a team ski race, in which prominent personalities such as former World Cup ace Lasse Kjus, Olympic snowboard champion Tanja Frieden or top chef Andreas Caminada compete with locals and guests in parallel slalom. In teams of three, the celebrities compete against companies, politicians, ski schools, ski clubs, guests or family teams.

For the City Race, the pedestrian zone in the village is quickly converted into a ski slope. The already well-known parallel slalom from Friday is also a new freestyle contest on Saturday; the “stylers” show off their tricks on a slopestyle ramp, and spectacle is guaranteed. This special event is rounded off by live music and a fashion show featuring the latest winter fashion from the most famous brands. On Sundays, the unique slope in the village is open to all guests and locals for sledding.

It is also worthwhile for non-racers to take part in the St. Moritz City Race: During the races, guests are catered for in various food corners. Between runs, fashion shows in the snow show the latest winter fashion trends from well-known manufacturers. Live jam sessions at Hotel Schweizerhof's party mile bring a party atmosphere after the races, including Trauffer and Richie & Alex. Afterwards, it's off to the afterparty at Vivai with top DJs Anahi Sanchez and Tanja La Croix. On Sundays, the village slope is open to locals and guests for sledding fun.

Of course, skiing is not just in the pedestrian zone: After the snowfalls in October and November, the winter sports areas throughout the Upper Engadin are already shining with very good snow conditions. During the day, event visitors can therefore enjoy the slopes and enjoy the culinary delights offered by restaurants on the mountains.
