Once again, a resounding YES to InnHub La Punt

The project for the InnHub La Punt innovation campus has overcome another major hurdle. The voters of the municipality of La Punt Chamues-ch have very clearly approved a partial revision of the local planning with 84.5% votes in favour. A motion to postpone the proposal had no chance.

The InnHub La Punt is one step closer to implementation. The municipal assembly of the Graubünden municipality of La Punt Chamues-ch has clearly approved a partial revision of the local planning with 93 votes to 17. The architecture of architect Norman Foster's Innovation Campus was something to talk about. Opponents of the project argued against the round roof shapes.

However, their request to postpone the project for revision and to address the revision at a later municipal meeting found no mercy before the sovereign and was rejected with a negative share of 81%. Caspar Coppetti, one of the co-initiators of InnHub, is pleased with the clear referendum: “The renewed, clear approval of our project is a great vote of confidence in our three-year, very broadly based development work. We are now moving on to detailed planning and the building application. If everything runs smoothly, we would like to start construction next spring and open InnHub at the end of 2022.”
