Facebook has more than two and a half million users in Switzerland.
The leading social media platform facebook has more than two and a half million users in Switzerland. As can be seen from the latest figures from the Zurich agency Serranetga As a result, the number of users rose to 2,525,840 active* users in March 2011. In March, the platform was used by 645.3 million people worldwide.
The adult media generation is increasingly represented: Almost 1.2 million users are over 30 years old. 52 percent of Swiss Facebook users are male, 48 percent female. 85 percent of users visit the platform at least weekly, 56 percent even daily.
* Active users are all registered users who have logged in to Facebook at least once within the last 30 days.
