Christian Gartmann is the new Communications Officer of the Swiss Helicopter Association (SHA). The Graubünden has worked in the media for over 30 years: as a journalist, media manager and management consultant. SHA is the national industry association of commercial helicopter companies.
“Christian Gartmann has a great deal of experience in journalism, but also in supporting political opinion formation. As a pilot and former aviation journalist, he has a long connection to Swiss aviation,” says SHA President Martin Candinas about the election to the SHA Board of Directors.
After a career in national and international media companies, Gartmann (52) has been an independent management consultant with a focus on communication and media since 2010. In the management staff of the municipality of Bregaglia, he is responsible for crisis communication following the landslides and debris flows at Bondo.
Gartmann has held a pilot license (PPL Fixed Wing) since 1991.
The Swiss Helicopter Association brings together the 20 most important helicopter companies in Switzerland. The association represents its members vis-à-vis authorities and other organizations in Germany and abroad. It aims to protect, support and promote the common interests of Swiss and Liechtenstein helicopter companies.
