The Malojapass cantonal road in the Bondo area has been open to normal traffic again since Friday afternoon. Only three months after the rock slide and the nine debris flows in August, the detour through the districts of Spino and Promontogno was lifted. Traffic is now flowing through the Promontogno tunnel again.
This means that the H3b can be used again without hindrances just in time for the start of the winter season in Engadin. It is both the main traffic route for Bergell and the most important connection between Engadin and northern Italy.
The municipality of Bregaglia would like to thank the population affected by the diversion for their understanding and the motorists for their patience.
