For the third time, the “Health & Tourism” conference will take place in Pontresina on September 21. Experts from tourism, medicine, politics and regional development learn about health tourism in the Alpine region and exchange ideas across industry and national borders. Participants from all German-speaking Alpine countries and Switzerland are expected again; top speakers from Germany and abroad have already confirmed their participation. Health tourism offers destinations in the Alpine region opportunities to create new value and create year-round jobs. In addition to foreign guests, residents also form a large group of guests; tourist and medical facilities in the Alps can take on new roles. Rehabilitation following illnesses and accidents is just as important business areas as prevention through preventive examinations, fitness and nutrition.
