The designated board of directors and the designated managing director of the Engadin Ski Marathon have appointed their management team. In numerous discussions, people were selected who can lead the successful major event into a continued successful future with expertise and experience.
The designated management of the Engadin Ski Marathon (ESM) consists of Menduri Kasper (managing director), Daniel Barmettler, Adriano Iseppi, Reto Matossi and Andrea Nievergelt.
Menduri Kasper will work in full office from May 2016. The remaining members of the new management board take on their duties in addition to their professional obligations. The new management team will be constituted over the next few weeks and will divide up the areas of responsibility. In this process, it is also decided whether the quintet should be supplemented with one or two additional people.
The certified trust expert Daniel Barmettler is already a member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer of the Engadin Ski Marathon. Adriano Iseppi is sports coordinator at the Champfèr Talent School; he was head of cross-country skiing discipline at Swiss Ski and OC President of Davos Nordic until 2015.
Reto Matossi, a qualified sports teacher and St. Moritz community school manager, has a wide range of organizational and event experience. Wood engineer Andrea Nievergelt has many years of experience in infrastructure.
“The members of the designated new management team bring diversified expertise from their professions and are all closely connected to cross-country skiing,” explains ESM President-elect Urs Pfister. “Together with the OC and the many hundreds of volunteers, they will do everything they can to lead the Engadin Ski Marathon into a successful future.”
The operational management of the Engadin Ski Marathon will be handed over to the designated new management team on May 1, 2016.
