Alpine skiing was once almost the sole magnet for visitors and business drivers for St. Moritz. Today, his role is being put into perspective: (too) many of the St. Moritz guests barely ski or don't ski at all. Against the backdrop of climate discussion, “unsportsmanlike youth” and cheap offers from maritime destinations, there is now an open question of the future prospects of skiing and its role for St. Moritz.

9th St. Moritz village talk on October 15
Almost 16 months before the 2017 FIS Alpine Ski World Championships, two of the most famous Swiss exponents will be shedding light on the future prospects of alpine skiing in St. Moritz.

Among others, the President of the Ski World Championships 2017 and the destination Engadin St. Moritz, Hugo Wetzel, Mayor Sigi Asprion, Engadin St. Moritz Mountains CEO Markus Meili and other Engadin decision makers will be there. Christian Gartmann will lead the interview.
