Spital Bülach AG takes over the Airport Medical Center (AMC) at Zurich Airport. This public practice, together with general practitioners in the region, ensures medical care around the airport. By taking over the majority of shares, Spital Bülach ensures the successful continuation of AMC and enables succession planning in the interests of the previous owners. The Airport Medical Center continues to operate as before, with all employees being taken over.
Die Spital Bülach AG acquires from the two doctors Dr. med. Carlo Höfliger and Dr. med. Adrian Urfer as well as from the Bündner clinic group Klinik Gut AG the majority of shares in Airport Medical Center AG (AMC).
Rolf Gilgen, CEO of Spital Bülach, will be the new Chairman of the AMC Board of Directors.

Better supply to the southern lowlands
Bülach Hospital and AMC have been working very well together for a long time. The takeover of AMC allows even better development of the southern catchment area, in particular the municipalities of Nürensdorf, Bassersdorf, Kloten and Opfikon-Glattbrugg.
“The acquisition serves the population of the region by securing and expanding high-quality outpatient services in the southern communities of the Zurich lowlands in the long term,” says Rolf Gilgen, CEO Spital Bülach. “It is in line with our “outpatient versus inpatient” concept.”
As a medical practice, the Airport Medical Center at Zurich Airport is open to passengers and employees, but also patients from the region. With a team of specialists and specialists, it has been making an important contribution to medical care in the region since 1995 in the areas of:

- dermatology
- psychiatry
- urology
- Dietary advice
- Rehabilitation and physiotherapy
Klinik Gut also offers orthopaedic consultations and post-operative treatments at AMC.
The AMC is open 365 days a year from 07:30 to 20:30. Around 12,000 patients are treated each year.
