Right to strike for sponsors?

SPONSORSHIP: Team sponsorship is also not free of risks

The embarrassing performance of the French national team at the soccer World Cups in South Africa and the unspeakable intrigues between team and coach, which culminated in a training strike by professional soccer players, have damaged the team's reputation to an extent that would not have been thought possible in professional sport.

The old rule of thumb that team sponsorship entails fewer personal risks than individual sponsorship was reduced to absurdity by the “Coqs Sportifs” - even the French government felt compelled to intervene. Sponsors of the team and the failed stars go to dive sites.
