MOBILE MEDIA: Internet is growing more slowly than mobile media in emerging countries

The global appetite for information and communication seems limitless. In developed countries, smartphones, particularly Apple's iPhone, have made the Internet mobile and are leading to further growth in overall media consumption.
In emerging countries, where the middle class is growing particularly strongly, there is now an opposite trend: Mobile media is growing faster than the Internet. A phenomenon that is also known as “reverse innovation,” as Nielsen wrote in his blog post “Going Global Means Going Mobile in Emerging Markets” reported.
