The European Helicopter Association EHA has elected Swiss Christian Müller as its new President and Technical Director. EHA is the umbrella organization of the European helicopter industry. Müller advises aviation companies in various countries on legal regulations, safety and training. He is a member of the board of the Swiss Helicopter Association.

Swiss aviation expert Christian Müller becomes the new president of the European Helicopter Association. Müller is a helicopter flight instructor and an internationally recognized expert in regulatory, safety and training issues. He is involved in national and international committees in the sector and has worked in particular to reduce the administrative burden for small and medium-sized companies. Since 2016, Christian Müller has been a board member of the Swiss umbrella organization Swiss Helicopter Association, which he represents in the EHA.
“The EHA and all its members can be pleased: Christian Müller is a person of integrity with a great deal of expertise and strong practical relevance. The safety and practical implementation of legal regulations are important to him,” says National Councillor Martin Candinas, President of the Swiss Helicopter Association (SHA). “The election of Christian Müller is a recognition of his know-how and the active role he played as a representative of SHA in various European committees. Together with EHA, we are delighted with his election and warmly congratulate him on it!”
“I have set myself the goal of bringing together the various competencies in the vertical lift sector of European aviation in the EHA and making EHA the leading European coordination body for this part of aviation,” explains the newly elected EHA President Christian Müller.
Christian Müller will take office on January 1, 2022. He succeeds the German Peter Möller, who is retiring. Christian Müller will resign from the SHA Executive Board at the end of 2021.
About Christian Müller
Christian Müller (49) has been CEO of NGFT GmbH since 2012. He previously held various positions in helicopter operations, including as Deputy Flight Operations Manager, Quality Manager or Head of Training. Before that, he worked as a senior consultant in an international bank for ten years.
Christian Müller has a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Bern. In addition to his flight instructor licenses for helicopters and airplanes, he is a CRM Examiner and Dangerous Goods Instructor. He is a lieutenant colonel on the staff of the Swiss Army Air Force Chief. Müller is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and has been a board member of the Swiss Helicopter Association (SHA) since 2017.
