Voters in the Upper Engadin should be more interested in regional policy issues, think regionally and exchange ideas about them: With this goal, the six regional parties in the Maloja region are launching the “Tavulin — Engadin Valley Talks” series of events, which will premiere on October 25 in Sils.
BDP, CVP, FDP, Glista Libra, SVP and SP from the Maloja region invite you to the Waldhaus in Sils on October 25. “Olympics 2026 — good for Grisons?” is the title of the first “Tavulin.” The Engadin Valley Talk should regularly address political topics of regional importance and discuss them at changing locations in the Upper Engadin.
“We want Engadin people to know and discuss regional policy issues,” says Silser BDP Grand Councillor Heidi Clalüna. “Tavulin is a get-together where people exchange ideas openly. Even our Engadin Valley Talks will not simply be panel discussions. Our guests should not only listen, but also actively participate in the discussion.”
“With the Olympics, we have chosen a topic that is of great interest among the population,” explains SVP Regional President Gian Marco Tomaschett. “This will help us launch the series successfully.”
“But public transport, culture in the valley or cooperation in the Upper Engadine in general could also be topics of Tavulin in the future,” adds Carola Bezzola (SP).
The conversation on October 25 will be led by St. Moritzer Christian Gartmann, who has been conducting the St. Moritz Village Talks since 2012. “The village talk has established itself very successfully as a format. We are happy to incorporate a few elements from this,” says Thomas Nievergelt from the FDP.
