Olympic champion Nicola Spirig and Scotsman Richie Nicholls won the second St. Moritz triathlon. Together with other world-class athletes, they train in Upper Engadin all summer; they used the sprint competition as competition training.

119 children from four countries took part in the second “Nicola Spirig Kids Cup” in St. Moritz on Saturday. In its second edition, the triathlon for girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 14 has already doubled the number of participants. On Sunday, the St. Moritz triathlon will take place over the sprint distance; Nicola Spirig will also be at the start.

On September 13, the municipality of St. Moritz will vote on the rezoning of Hotel La Margna into a new hotel zone. The municipal council unanimously passed the corresponding bill on Thursday evening. In the deciding match, Jonathan Munro Ford and his team gave Italian-German-Argentine Team BMW no chance and secured the hat-trick. More than 12,000 visitors made the tournament a huge public success. The new organizational team has made its debut.

The slightly delayed ice formation on Lake St. Moritz has so far had no influence on the organization of the St. Moritz Snow Polo World Cup at the end of January. Experts from the St. Moritz Maritime Commission are constantly monitoring ice formation and quality; there is enough time to set up the infrastructure on the lake.

Four top teams with players from seven nations are fighting for the Cartier Trophy at the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz 2015 from January 30 to February 1, 2015.
